How Espn Deportes Saved My Life

I never knew the relationship I would invent with Espn deportes would grow so strong. Who knew that a Spanish sports channel could do so much for a kid who grew up in Boise...

Anybody that has ever been to Boise, Idaho, knows that the city's nickname, "City of Trees," only applies to a 100 foot-wide section that follows the Boise River straight through the middle of the city. The rest of the city looks more like the set of a John Wayne movie - dry, sage-brush covered, and dry. So I felt right at home in the high mountain desert of Puebla, Mexico, where I lived for two years. Although I love being back in America, there are a few things I miss about Mexico. Here are four things I miss and a few of the things that make me feel better.

Essence of Childhood Friendships

Innocent and free in spirit is the nature of childhood. Sweet dreams, starry ideas, rippled laughter are some of the privileges in being a child. With it are many relations that are often lost or parted as the child grows towards adulthood. As all of us regale our old days, there are so many incidents we remember and other snippets in life which we are unable to connect. Friendships are very prominent during childhood.

A child looks send to play with her friends in the play park or play school. A crying child is full of joy on finding his friend bring him a ball. Petite chiding, grouping with coarse friends and having a extra best friend are also a part of childhood. Parents too feel great on finding their children bond well with their friends. A snack party or a birthday celebration is incomplete without the close circle of friends.

A friend brings you the extra snack in his lunch box and also challenges you to halt the homework fast. A friendship grows well when nourished with innocence. The contentious spirit stays alive and yet the smile of the same friend is very important. Many friendships from the residential area or alma mater blooms into life long friendships. These are our real friends whom we can rely on and the loyalty is a gift for life.
